Authentique... que dire de plus ? Perdu un peu en plein milieu de nul part avec une vue splendide et le calme absolu. Décoration faite avec beaucoup de goût et surtout des petites attentions à l’arrivée sous forme de « panier de bienvenu » comprenant des spécialités locales. Merci beaucoup, on recommande fortement, ne passez pas à côté de cette petite merveille.

Struttura situata in una zona super tranquilla immersa in un clima di puro relax! Ci ritornerei ad occhi aperti per noi è stata superlativa! Situata un oretta di strada da Funchal ma hai praticamente quello di cui hai bisogno! Panorama mozzafiato piscina insomma una casa tutta per te!! Consiglio ótimo

If you are looking for a cosy place with a magnificant view, character and atmosphere this is the place to be. We had the cottage that is a little uphill of the main area but this is only to identify the place. It was private and had a nice patio with chairs and tables. The house itself is really cute. We liked that you could feel that the owner did not long for perfection but for the mood. The house was filled with a selection of antique furniture that were far from mainstream including a gramophone with german schellac LPs. From the terrace or the pool on the main site we had a superb view down the hill and upon the sea with california style but european feeling sunsets. Yes there may be ants if you are careless about your food and yes there may be a dog that barks a little in the evening but hey, this is the country side of Madeira. However, if you are looking for 5* sterile perfection of a hotel: better do not bother to come here. Stay away.

We stayed in this house, it was beautiful. The garden really made the property for me, it is very well tended and bursting with plants, full of fruit trees in bloom or in fruit that you can help yourself to, it was so nice that at least 2 of the days we didn't even leave the property but just sat in the garden reading. The view is spectacular and the house is near to some great restaurants and viewpoints. The pool was a real luxury, not heated but not too cold on a 20'c day, and it has a beautiful view down the valley to the sea. The staff that we met could not have been more welcoming.
